Acute myocardial infarction is one of the most challenging clinical conditions in cardiology but also the most gratifying when treated promptly and appropriately. Prompt scientific treatment can save lives and restore normal cardiac function. Unfortunately, delay in initiating treatment is common and this can lead to poor outcomes.
Lumen is the world's premier STEMI meeting held annually in Miami and is now into its 9th year. Kovai Medical Center and Hospital is one of the pioneers in interventional cardiology in this part of the country. Together, KMCH and Lumen have developed a practical workshop on optimal management of STEMI.
This stimulating day and half program provides a comprehensive review and training to the medical team involved in the processes and procedures in the care of the STEMI patients. This includes emergency room physicians, clinical cardiologists involved in thrombolysis and the cardiac catheterization laboratory team in PCI capable hospitals. This meeting will provide anyone involved in the care of STEMI with the latest information on management and help to reduce delays and optimise outcomes.
We welcome you to this meeting at the Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, in March 2010 .
